Alola Region
Alola (Japanese: アローラ地方 Alola-chihō) is a tropical archipelago region in the Pokemon franchise. Introduced in Generation VII with Pokemon Sun and Moon, Alola is based on the Hawaiian Islands and represents a major departure from traditional Pokemon gameplay with its Island Challenge system replacing gyms.
